Kalev Mark Kostabi is an acclaimed artist with Estonian roots in New York. His ancestors emigrated to the United States during the Second World War. Kostabi has won more acclaim in New York and Rome than in Estonia, and now it is time to establish a Kostabi Centre in Tallinn to help people in Estonia better understand and embrace his art. For the artist himself, his roots are important and he visits here often. The centre would be an important tourist attraction and would help to connect the Estonian people with Kostabi’s work.
